i've converted video files to use on the wii and it can't see them...
using the "troubleshooting" mode i can get it to work with the test video mode, but then using the same setting for the whole file, the conversion completes, but then the file can't be seen in the Wii photo viewer... the final file size is >2gb (i'm using a 4Gb SD card)
HELP !!!!

You need to upgrade the Wii Firmware to Ver 3.3 or higher, if you want to use a SD card higher than 2GB. :)

I am having the same problem as PhilC...but what I dont understand is when you said update the firmware. I have the most up to date firmware and it still will not let me view the movie. I do the test video/troubleshoot and it plays fine. I do it regular and it never notices the movie on the wii. I am using a 4gb SD as well. Any help?

I am having exactly the same problem. Latest Wii software; latest conversion software; 32GB SD, which plays the troubleshoot clip. I convert both the troubleshoot clip and the main video with exactly the same set up.

Yeah having the same problem, not sure if it is a Wii issue or a conversion issue. But I ahve the latest firmware, 2 GB SD card, converted 2 files one ended up being 160 mb, the other 1.07 GB. Photo channel plays the smaller one but not the larger one. Anyone have any thoughts?

It used to work on my 4GB SD card with firmware 3.4.
But as soon as I upgraded to firmware 4.2E, it wouln't recognize the converted format of any video.
Is there hope for a new version of wii video 9 ? Downgrading is such a pain...

In this guide we will teach you how to convert your video files to a Wii-supported video file that can be placed on an SD card and then played back through your Nintendo Wii. For the guide we will be using only one very easy to use freeware, Wii Video 9, which was recently updated to version 5.0.
