Not Downloading Youtube Videos

Hey, when I attempt to download a video from youtube for my itouch the youtube converter doesnt work. I can select the url and it says it recognizes the url then when I press the download button nothing happens, if I attempt to press the select url button again it says it does not recognize the url. What is up? Can someone help me?

YouTube is blocking the program. They don't want it to work.

i don't get that. supposedly everything on youtube is uncopyrighted and not owned by youtube. so what the hell should they care if someone downloads a video?

You haven't read their end user agreement. They do not grant you the right to download anything. One might think that if they did... there would be a "download" button on every single page. But they don't... because the specifically prohibit it.

Well that is a bummer! But why does Red Kawa insist on an app like "YouTube Downloader App" when it doesn't even work is what im wondering? Especially since YouTube's TOA specifically don't allow downloads of the content on thier site!

I don't know the answer to that. I've always maintained it was a poor business decision.
