ok i converted a vid and tried transfer the vid to my ps3 using 2 different usb drives
neither of them worked, it didnt even show and vid files
i set the ps3 media server up and the ps3 didnt see the file either

can any1 help?

is the USB drive formatted as FAT or FAT32?

As well as hipyo's correct statement make sure the videos are not down more than one level in a directory tree.

I think you need to make sure they are in a directory called "Video" or in the root directory if I remember right from when I tried this way way back.
