So i actually only registered on this forum because i noticed something odd on here (http://www.videora.com/en-us/Converter/Xbox360/video.html) It says:

Is there any way I can play my own videos WITHOUT a Media Center PC?

No. Without a Windows XP Media Center PC, you can only play back the movies Microsoft offers in the Xbox Live Marketplace.

That is actually not right. I am running windows XP pro with wmp11, and my xbox 360 can find and play all of my wmv videos from my PC with no problem. So whats the guide on about? its saying you can't when you can watch vids without a media centre pc that is false.

I am pretty sure those line where written some years ago, way before the MP4 and DivX support for xbox360 kicked in. Back in the day, you could only stream wmv files. The rest had to be played using mce and some other app like convert360 or transcode360.
