Hey guys, i recently installed Media Center X on my PS3 and so far so good. Ive had no problem connecting and downloading MP3s to my HDD. But when I try to download a movie ( which i converted through Video 9 as an MP4 SP) I can locate the file but when i click on it to download. It stalls for a bit and then gives me a message saying a connection error has occured.

The file is 700 MB and is titled kingdomohheaven.mp4

Hopefully you guys can help out

Edit: actually the exact message is An error occured during the download operation.

I don't have an answer for you. It's not happened to me but, if I were you, I would try some things. Based on your edit statement we don't know if the error is caused by something being wrong with the file or the wireless connectivity/transmittion action. If the file is small enough to allow, I would burn it to a CD or DVD as a data disk and see if PS3 accepts it. If it does not, then we'd know it's the file. I personally like the mp4 AVC profile. I recall someone having transmittion problems with one of the other two mp4s but don't recall details.
If it does accept it, we'd know it's the connection/transmittion.

You could try converting it again in case it is corrupt. Also, give mp4 AVC profile a try.
Good luck

does this error happen when you use files < 700MB?

Did you ever try to convert again using AVC instead of SP to see if that worked?
