ok the first problem is this. i have a video file (testvid.mp4) i go and throw that into the C:\Program Files\Red Kawa\Media Center\software\Video\videos directory.
also some jpg into the C:\Program Files\Red Kawa\Media Center\software\Pictures\images

load up the media center webserver and connect to myself it connects. The my pictures catagory sees my jpg (and links correctly) but the video catagory doesn't have any files in there at all.

The vid is an mp4 (mpeg 4 avc) created with ps3vid 9 and plays if i transfered with a usb stick.

Second problem, trying to be a fix to the first one. I'll use the my files section.
C:\Program Files\Red Kawa\Media Center\software\Video\videos is my start directory
C:\Program Files\Red Kawa\Media Center\software\Video\videos and
C:\Documents and Settings are in the approved download directories
as a test i copyied the jpg to the video\videos folder(2 files in there now, the vid and jpg)

i click my files and get 2 listings (the testvid and the jpg..good) but when i click them i get
HTTP ERROR: 404
C:\Program Files\Red Kawa\Media Center\software\Video\videostestvid.mp4 (The system cannot find the file specified)
RequestURI=/software/Files/download.jsp

and
HTTP ERROR: 404
C:\Program Files\Red Kawa\Media Center\software\Video\videosMypic.jpg (The system cannot find the file specified)
RequestURI=/software/Files/download.jsp

I see the problem but don't know how to fix it. its missing a '\' after the directory path, before the filename.
I have tried trying using different folders, uninstall/reinstall with no help.

can someone help me fix either of these 2 errors

I get these errors from any computer on my lan or on the ps3

Dont think about it to hard, maybe ull see ur mistakes, i did. Okay i dunno if this ill help any but it helped me instead of that document setting i have mine written out like in settings

C:\Documents and Settings\xpupper\My Documents\ (this here will let u access everything in the folder)
C:\Documents and Settings\xpupper\My Documents\My vids (Just 2 be safe, and so on)
C:\Program Files\Red Kawa\Video Converter\Videos\PS3

It worked for me
Im able to download pictures, mp3, and some mp4's
my problem is only some of my mp4's get downloaded to the ps3, the rest send me 2 the USB (my problem post is here http://www.redkawa.com/forums/showthread.php?t=428)
hope this help a little.. I learned off mine with trial and error

nope sorry man, nomatter what folder i choose for the files option it is missing the slash between the path and the folder, ex if i set it to the c:\temp folder (and put files in there) and the filename is MYFILE.JPG, MYFILE.AVI
using the 'my files' option when i click the file it will say 404 error can't find c:\tempMYFILE.JPG (c:\tempMYFILE.AVI) the slash between the folder(directory) and the file is missing.

I still can't figure out why i don't see any vid files that i stick in the C:\Program Files\Red Kawa\Media Center\software\Video\videos
folder, ive tried many types of avi, mpg, mov as of now the correct mp4 format, divx (6.x, 5.x), 3ivx, xvid, mpeg2, mpeg4, uncompressed avi, mov, can't remember any other formats. Any file i put in there doesn't show up in the 'my video's' link for the media center.

If i can't get this to work id do what i currently do, xfer stuff using the usb stick. But prefer using the media center or some other webserver.

FYI anybody that doesn't like typing http://your.pc.ip.address:8129 to get to the media center can edit the C:\Program Files\Red Kawa\Media Center\webserver.prop (with notepad) and change the ListenSocket=8129 to ListenSocket=80.
then accessing the media center only takes http://your.pc.ip.address Its not much shorter but its just a fyi.
