It says in description that file sever you can copy files over your home network that fact that it uses the web browser does this mean it will burn up my downloads? I only get 5gb so it would take me 4 months to get all my stuff on to hard drive and cost me 320 bucks! if that is the case.I Want high def gaming and media centre pc so unless ps3 has good media centre function will have to bite the bullet and buy a 360 being a playstation fan it will be hard to do:mad:

Not sure what you mean by burn up downloads but PS3 Media Center X will copy approved files from PC to PS3 wirelessly. This program will not stream media files stored on your PC and play them on the PS3. You have to copy them over first or store them on some usb connected device such as an external hard drive, flashdrive, CD, DVD or memory stick in order to play them without actually copying them to the PS3.

Media Center X does not use the internet but you have to have an intranet system within your area for it to work. By that I mean you have to have a wireless network. The PS3 comes with wireless capability when you get it. Typical setup is an access point such as a router. Once set up the files are copied from your PC to the PS3 wirelessly straight from one to the other without going out and coming back through the internet. Does this answer your question?
