Release Notes:
After we released version 2.00, we noticed the setup was a little on the light side compared to its 0.92 predecessor. After a bit of investigation figured out that we forgot to include any sort of AviSynth including the installer. AviSynth is quite handy if you encounter video issues so we decided to add support sooner rather than later. After a little bit of fiddling with FFmpeg we found out that you cannot encode MPEG-4 videos using AviSynth as the source. We are not sure why this is, but the good news is that H.264 is supported which is great since H.264 is the more superior codec. Using an AviSynth script is pretty straight forward, just select your AviSynth file when Videora iPod Converter prompts you for a video and then make sure you select an H264 profile.

We could have just left things there, but since this is the new and improved version of Videora iPod Converter, we decided to improve our AviSynth support by making it as seamless as possible. Now when you set the encoder of your profile to “iPod 1-Pass – Ffmpeg MINB AVS”, Videora iPod Converter will use AviSynth to decode your video instead of FFmpeg by creating automatically creating the proper one line AviSynth scripts. You can modify how Videora iPod Converter generates these scripts by going to the Edit Profiles section.

Finally, we should mention that we changed the names of the profiles in 2.01. Since 2.00 has only been out for half a day almost no one will notice this but we dropped the terms BP@L1.3 and BP@L3 for the more understandable terms QVGA and VGA since very few people other than videophiles understand what BP@L3 actually means.

Upgrade Notes:
There is no upgrade available so you will have to download the full installer. The full installer will overwrite your old version so you will loose all your old settings and profiles unless you back these up first. As mentioned above, we’ve added more options to the profiles so your old profiles are useless anyways as they cannot be imported.

That's fine, but I can't find a link to any 2.0+ downloads.

It's right on the front page of the Videora iPod Converter site under the downloads heading:
http://www.videora.com/en-us/Converter/iPod/

Thanks for noticing that though, we'll include a link to it from now on in our new posts.

OK, thanks for that. When I checked that page after the 2.00/2.01 beta announcements, I only saw the 0.91 download. Thanks for clarifying.
