Profile setting

Hello there,

What should I set my profile setting to? I am converting AVI. file to MPEG4 and it takes 8-9 hours per movie. Will the profile setting speed it up?
What should the encoding profile be set to? What should the one click setting be?

Default profiles that came with the software is a good place to start. If conversion times seem too long, you can bring the threads up to 2 in the profile's setting. This will slow down your computer a bit. Generally you should only set threads to equal the amount of CPU cores you have on your computer with 4 being the max due to software limitations. Also avoid doing 2 passes cause that will double your time.
