I dont know if its just me but ive found 2 bugs.
for starters if i use the settings option while running the server and type a starting folder it will not save it
To fix that i close out the file server and edit the C:\Program Files\Red Kawa\File Server\core\settings.txt folder, you have to use the same format as that of the approved folders ie extra '\' characters...ie StartDirectory=C\:\\Documents and Settings\\user\\My Documents\\My Videos\\ps3\\
exit/save all is good with the starting folder
bug number 2 is if you place files you want to download in the starting folder, then run the server it will error out trying to download the file ex a vid called testvid.mp4 in the folder
C:\Documents and Settings\user\My Documents\My Videos\ps3\
trying to download will actualy request C:\Documents and Settings\user\My Documents\My Videos\ps3testvid.mp4 (notice the missing \)
workaround
place a folder inside the starting folder ie vids and put all your stuff in there
C:\Documents and Settings\user\My Documents\My Videos\ps3\vids
then when run the server open it on ps3/whatever you will click the vids folder then see all your stuff in there and downloads will work
not a bug but info for ppl
if you dont want to type http://your.ip.whatever: port you can edit the C:\Program Files\Red Kawa\File Server\webserver.prop file with notepad change ListenSocket=80
then all you have to do is type http://your.ip.whatever
