Transferring Ringtones to the LG Dare

So I've created several ringtones using the Ringtonesia Maker, but I'm unable to get them on my phone as ringtones. I managed to find them under My Sounds, but that's as close as I got. I did some research and I think the problem may be that my service provider (Telus, I'm in Canada) has restrictions on what can be used as a ringtone.

Does this mean there's no way of getting my ringtones on my phone without somehow voiding the warranty? I really don't want to tinker with my phone, but some personal ringtones would be nice.

I have found a very simple solution for you all is to download Bitpim software which you will get it from Verizon Website after installing the drivers on your computer you can directly put the song which you need to keep as ring tone at appropriate folder. The only problem with this is that you cant save them as sounds, only ringtones can be saved.
