Wii 9 appears to not work on Mac

Using Mac OS 10.4.11. I've tried running under Rosetta and not. I've tried .mov .flv. .wma and one .avi file. In no case could I get past selecting the file. At that point things would just sit. I'm going to let things sit for 5 or more minutes, but don't expect this to make it work. The tons of ads are annoying but acceptable if the program works. As it is, this has been nothing more than an exercise in frustration. The YouTube Convert program that came in the download won't even open...with or without Rosetta. I've lots of computer background and don't think I've done anything stupid, but I suppose that is always possible. Any help out here??

I second this: running osx 10.4.11 on a macbook , wii video 9 v 4.0.8, when I load the file, nothing happens. The console says

EXEC: /Applications/Wii Video 9.app/Contents/Resources/Java/Tools/MediaInfo/mediainfo --Inform=file://template.txt /Volumes/MyVolume/file.avi

and nothing more. If I launch the same command from the terminal I get a Bus error.

Hope this helps in diagnosing the problem.
