Hello

I'm using HTC Magic Converter to convert VCD to mp4.
The converter was downloaded on this site 1 weeks before, so I assume it is the latest version.

I used it to convert a movie. The conversion is good. But since the movie is a Chinese one, I tried to give it a Chinese title in the conversion. Then when I used HTC Magic or VLC Player to play the file, the title of the movie became a list of monster.

This is usually due to incorrect handle of Chinese encoding. The operating system (Windows XP) use MS905 codepage by default. It would read BIG5 characters normally. And all Chinese text will be encoded as BIG5 unless the application is UTF-8 ready. Apparently, HTC Magic Converter is not handling text with UTF-8 encoding. I think that's why the title gone wrong.

Will later version of HTC Magic Converter / other Videora Converters support UTF-8 charset in video title?

YES, unless youre a fool. It guarantees you are getting FULL and clear title. This is a major transaction and you WANT insurance that you are getting what you paid for. No lender will give you a loan on any property without title insurance--why would you buy without it??
