My personal computer is being reformatted, was installed with xp professional. I am using my husband's computer now while mine is being fixed. His computer currently is running Vista. I used PSP9 everyday since getting the psp on my computer. (we are converting my sons cartoons off the computer for the psp, for long drives) I never had any issues. I have tried to download psp9 on my husband's vista run computer, I get through set up, and once it's finished and tries to open it says there was a problem and had to shut down, then it asked me if I wanted to change settings and try again. So I did and I put it as last known running on: windows xp, and that didn't work. I don't know if it's vista or the updated version. Anyone know?

Hello,
I have the same issue. Running Windows Vista 64bit SP2. When starting the software (as administrator) I immediately get the Windows generic error message that the software stopped working. I downloaded the previous version with the below url and now the software doesn't fail at startup. I am a new user, so I have to see if everything works, but at least it can start now and I get a screen to do the initial setup.
http://files.redkawa.com/installers/videoconverterapp/500/pspvideo9-500-setup.exe (I uninstalled the 5.01 version before installing this one.)
Note: Don't forget to start the program by rightclicking on it's icon and choosing "run as administrator".
[edit] Using version 5.00: When trying to convert a file, I use the select file button. After selecting the file, I get the videoinfo stopped working message from Windows. It doesn't crash the PSP Video 9 software though. I get the same message again when starting the conversion. The conversion does seem to be running now. Maybe there's a problem with the source video format. I'll try different files later.

As we mentioned in our Videora Converter 5.01 (http://www.redkawa.com/forums/showthread.php?t=47478) news update, we had to remove 64-bit support temporarily. We will be adding back 64-bit support soon, but until then, the only way to use the software on 64-bit machines is to use an older version.
Thanks for your patience.
