Hi,

I'm using Videora iPod touch Converter v5.01 and trying to convert a video file in .tivo format to Ipod touch 3rd G format. The encoding profile is set to the first H.264 in the list. Using Normal Mode, if I select the video file and go thru the rest of the steps with the default settings, the resulting video file is completely garbled and unwatchable. I tried creating a short troubleshooting 15 sec video and selecting "Alternate Decoder #1" for Video Decoder and it worked! The converted video came out fine. Perhaps I am being overly dense here, but I can't seem to figure out how to select this "Alternate Decoder #1" as my default decoder. Do I have to change my encoding profile to something else? If so, what? How do I verify that it is set to use the alternate decoder other than waiting for the file to be converted? Sorry if this is a stupid question. I've been trying everything and just can't seem to figure this out. THANK YOU for any help!
