OK so I sure hope this doesn`t sound completely stupid. I have workout dvds that I want to put onto my PS3 so I don`t have to mess around with the actual dvd`s anymore.

When I browse a workout dvd in Windows Explorer, it is comprised of 18 different files (VOD, BUP and IFO) so it appears that it is not simply a matter of converting one file but many and in the correct order to duplicate the experience of playing the dvd. In other words, I have successfully converted two of the large VOB files into two separate mp4 files that will playback successfully on my computer using quicktime but I don`t want to have to play them separately I want to have one mp4 of the entire DVD to play as the regular DVD would.

I hope that makes sense. So how do I convert 18 files into one mp4´...HELP!

This is exactly where I have been having a hang up for awhile. I have tried all types of video rippers, converters, media streaming software but have not found the simple answer I'm looking for. I want to be able to turn on my PS3 and stream one single file to play a decent quality picture and sound without skipping and lag. I am set up with a 1 TB Western Digital My Book World Edition that I want to back up all my dvd's onto and be able to just play them without having to have my computer on to stream/convert it. My final hicup is now just the file type to backup with.

You need to disable file splitting in whatever you're ripping the DVD with in order to end up with a single VOB file to convert.
