I deleted all profiles to make customs one. I want to make one for Widescreen and other for normal.
What's the best settings for widescreen and normal non movie video (like one downloaded from youtube)?
examples, right now i have an avi movie. Windows Media Player info shows that is 528 x 224 aspect ratio 2.36:1, what settings should i use?
then i have another avi video file 320 x 240 4:3 what should i use for this?
psp firmware version 3.90

There's no strict rule. It depends a great deal on the format of your source file. If you were to rip a 2.35 file from a DVD, it would likely be in 720x480 with letterboxing built in... you would need to treat that differently from some avi file you probably downloaded and probably has the letterboxing cropped off.

With the old version i usually used 368x208 and appeared good, but i have never tried full resolution or 720x48, i'll try.
edit.
i tried to convert the youtube avi and converted "fine", but when i try to play it get "unsupported format". I trimmed the video, then re encoded it using DivX, then used pspvideo 9, is that the problem?

Unsupported format is too genric of an error. it means that a particular setting is not within the "supported" range for the PSP, meaning it's pretty picky when it comes to stuff like framerate, resolution and so forth. My personal experience with unsupported data is in the sticky.

I think know what the problem was. When i trimmed and re-encoded the file with other program (Camstasia Studio), i did not marked the option for audio, even if there is no audio it seems i need to mark it so pspvideo 9 can process it or the psp accept it.
i tried again with that option enabled and worked.
And for the avi movie, used your suggested resolution and worked, the movie looks great, then tried another but looks squashed..tall people, thin..etc.
Thank you both for replies
