I apologize if the answer is obvious, I swear I've tried everything I've read here and in other locations on the 'net. Bear with me, I'm new :)
I am having all kinds of difficulties converting HD DVR-MS files recorded from Vista Media Center. The video is spot-on, it's beautiful. The audio, however, is always out of sync and I simply cannot fix it.
(OS: Vista x64 Ultimate; 2GB RAM; I rename the .dvr-ms files to .mpg prior to the conversion attempt)
When converting SD (480i) digital content, everything seems fine. HD content (720/1080) for a full-length hour show will however have audio that is right around 3 seconds early. The synchronization problem appears to be constant over the entire file. Using quick 5-10 second recordings of HD content, the audio is still early, but not by as much.
I've tried all the framerate settings, I've tried as many different profiles as will work (many do not and terminate instantly on me) ... is there any way to solve this problem? I would love to donate some $$ to you guys, but this is the SOLE reason I would use this software. My friend that turned me onto this software does not have any of these problems with DivX/XviD files, it seems to be limited to HD Media Center recordings.
Can you help? Am I a complete idiot and just missed a trivial setting somewhere?
Thanks ...
