combining peices of movie

after i encoded a movie to avi format, the movie was broken up into 3 different sections (i was using DVDx). Is it possible to combine these sections before i convert them so that i'll have one complete movie, rather than 3 different parts on my ipod?

DVDShrink or DGIndex both can do this, though the DGIndex approach will require an AVISynth script per this guide: http://www.doom9.org/mpg/dgindex-frameserving.htm
