Audio sync problems

I know some people have posted some sync probs in here, but not like mine. My files are starting out in sync, but gradually going out of sync as the file is played, ending up out by 3-4 sec by the end. This only seems to happen to my longer files (hour long tv shows, minus commercials) If you need any other info to solve this, just ask.

Assuming you've read the sticky and tried what I've suggest. Try this, Edit the profile you wish to use, On the audio tab there should beo something like d"dditional CLI Parameters", put in "-async 1" and see if that helps with your longer videos.

I have been having the same sort of issue. Usually it happens on my Tivo shows. My profile is encoding at:

Mpeg 4 AVC
Level 3
384 Kbps
480 x 272

Audio:
AAC-LC
128
Stereo Orginal with 130% volume increase

This works well even with HD content, which most of the shows are in HD. I usually watch Nova, Explorer (when not DMR), sports games, and some others.

TIVO Batch 2: 13 videos all 1 hour long

So, far the 1st and second videos do not have any audio sync problems. Hopefully, by the time I wake up in the A.M. I can see if I start to lose sync when I get further down the list.

All programs are being batched from my Tivo, after I used the Direct Show Dump Utility (http://www.prish.com/etivo/tbr.htm) to make the TIVO download viewable.

I messed the format up somehow. The data is "Unsupported". So back to square one. The videos play fine on my VLC media player and I can tell you the sync problem is just fine, now to work on the video setup problem.

Dec 08 2008: Meh, I just decided to download version 4.04 and leave this version behind since there are some bugs affecting my conversions. I will make a new post there.


DEC 12 2008: Version 4.04, I might come back to version 2.25, I have having some other major audio clipping problems. They also never fixed the sync issue and I still have to write in the additional parameter.
