Videora iPod Converter
Videora Apple TV Converter

Release Notes:
Our use of the advanced codec features found in both MPEG-4 and H.264 (ie Motion Estimation, Macroblock Partitioning, Trellis, etc) in all of our profiles by default has led to a lot of confusion and misguided generalizations about the encoding speed of Videora iPod Converter. While we thought users would be pleased with the extra quality obtained at the same or smaller filesizes, it seems that most users care more about conversion speed.

So as of version 2.07, these advanced codec features have been turned off for all of the default profiles, except the four that contain the words “advanced” in their titles. With these advanced features turned off, you will find that the conversion speeds are exactly the same, if not a little faster, than those in the antiquated 0.91 release. Attaining these speeds has always been possible since version 2.00 as it is simply a matter of how your encoding profiles are setup.

In order to make this change over a little easier for ourselves, we have added a few more profile video settings which will render your old profiles settings obsolete since they will be incompatible.

In version 2.06, we introduced an early version of our VideoWizard feature. We are now happy to announce that we the feature is now ready for general use in 2.07. The VideoWizard is designed for people who have no idea what things like QVGA, VGA, MPEG-4, H.264, kbps, etc mean and don’t want to mess with or learn about the myriad of profile options found in Videora iPod Converter. Once you select your file through the VideoWizard, you will be brought to a video settings window where you can easily control how your video will be converted.

As you choose your video settings, the window will show you how your settings effect the conversion time, overall video quality and resulting file size in real time.

This version also contains a number of other minor bug fixes.

Upgrade Notes:
There is no upgrade available so you will have to download the full installer. The full installer will overwrite your old version so you will loose all your old settings and profiles unless you back these up first. As mentioned above, we’ve added more options to the profiles so your old profiles are useless anyways as they cannot be imported.
