HELP MEEEEEEEEEEE.....please

Ok, so I'm not very good with computers. Could somebody who is please post an idiots guide to the media centre and movie converter please. The tutorials provided are fine up to a point (i believe i have followed them successfully), however key areas (at least for the beginner) are over looked: How are files accessed from the Wii, reading posts on the forums, it would seem the best way to watch video would be to stream them, how on earth do you do this? If using SD cards - i guess you need an extra piece of hardware? Also some additional info/tutorial about the converter would be much appreciated - do you stream from here?

I realise that the production of a step by step guide is a pain in the butt to produce - but it would be invaluable to me and probably a fair few others. Thanks

oh yeah one more thing - what do i need to do in order for my computer to recognise my Wii?

The two programs have two different functions and are not typically releated other than being for the Wii.

Wii Video 9 converts regular movie files on your PC into a compatible file type for the Wii. You put the converted files into an SD card and view it from the Wii's Photo Channel.

Wii Media Center allows you to stream media such as movies and music from your PC to your Wii by using the Opera Browser on the Wii. In order to use this program, you will need a network connection between the two devices (PC and Wii). The Wii Media Center must be on in the duration you plan to use it on the Wii, it gives you an IP address that you simply enter in the Opera Browser.
