I read that many people are confused so I figured I would share my successes here since I found it very confusing

for the PS3. Obviously the documentation is lacking. I would eventually like to post screen shots if it allows me.

Basically I wanted to consolidate some posts I have read to keep it simple. Please feel free to add to it.

1. Start RQ media server on your computer

2. Browse (and bookmark) in the PS3 browser: http://192.168.0.101:8192

3. Go to settings on main page of the browser on your computer

4. Click Software then Edit settings- this will take you here:

http://192.168.0.101:8192/software/Files/settings.jsp

5. Click here where it says: To access these server settings, please "click here."

6. Add a directory with your downloads, such as: W:\AzureausDownloads (you must type in or copy/paste- no

browsing)

7. Add additional directories like: C:\Program Files\Red Kawa\Video Converter\Videos\PS3\

8. Download the Ps3 Video9 converter to convert movie files

9. Run the app and click settings

10. Choose MPEG-4 AVC ( I tried and the other codecs do not work. If you notice your other PS3 movies from the PS3

store are all AVC format.

11. In the devices/ps3 tab I set my PSC device folder to the same one that is shared with the PS3-

W:\AzureausDownloads

12. In the convert tab choose one click convert- browse to your download folder (in this case I downloaded 1080p

and HD movie trailers, etc. with Azureaus and the Zudio skin-http://www.zudeo.com/az-web/app- it has a GREAT HD

area- all legal) choose movies you want to convert.

13. When a file is done go to Library and move to device or copy. It puts them in the device folder.

14. On the Ps3, back in the browser, choose Files and browse to W: (in my case described here)

15. Find the file which was converted- will have .mp4 ext. it will take a few moments and then prompt to save to

device by selecting the start button.

16. You should see the file in the movies secion in the PS3 now.

Hope this helps! Still experimenting with the quality of the converter as it is not great with the defaults.

i access my files through the parts labeled "my files" i place them on my desktop and allowed red kawa to share the desktop. when i try to download items, it wont work because it is missing a \ at the end after ...\DesktopFILENAME.xxx instead of ...\Desktop\FILENAME.xxx. i can fix it by bringing up the address bar in ps3 and manually adding it. anyone know a fix to this?
