Battery lifetime

does anybody know which format uses more power, when played on Ipod, H264 or MPEG-4?
I am asking because space is no problem on my ipod, and would like to know if it makes a difference in battery lifetime to encode in H264.

I'm normally encoding using the video wizard, set to best video quality. But which format should I choose? My experience tells me that the quality is about the same for both formats. the only difference is size and perhaps power usage.

Does anybody know?

While I'm no engineer... common sense would dictate that, if you had two movies that were the same resolution and same length, the larger one in terms of filesize would consume more power to play.
