these newer versions, mainly v2+ SUCK! they are slow and very hard to use.
i'm using 0.92 which is soooooooooooo much better! its WAY faster at the same settings and is really easy to use.
comments?

It's NOT faster at the same settings... that's the issue. The settings are different. I can use some profiles that take 1:30 to encode a movie at higher quality settings using some advanced encoder features.... or I can encode the same clip in :26 using less advanced features with v2.x

Newsflash: it's in beta testing.

Try version 2.09 and get back to us.

i'll try that one and see what happens.

and yes, at the same settings 0.92 is way faster. v2+ goes .2 seconds a second, 0.92 goes more than 10 at the SAME settings.

Videora iPod Converter 2.x runs at exactly the same speeds as the old 0.9x versions when using the exact same settings.

Please do share what versions, profiles and encoding times you get for each version.

Here's our data for a video we converted:

Version 0.92
Profile: MPEG-4/320x240/768kbps Stereo/128kbps
Time: 0:38
Profile: H264/320x240/16:9/768kbps Stereo/128kbps
Time: 1:02

Version 2.10
Profile: MPEG4 QVGA 768kbps Stereo/128kbps
Time: 0:36
Profile: H.264 QVGA 768kbps Stereo/128kbps
Time: 1:01

The times are practically the same, with the newer version being even faster in some cases.

People in this thread have iPods. Please stop resurrecting year old threads.
