I’m new to this so forgive me if this is a dumb question. Anyway, how do I combine different movie files? I run the DVD ripper, and it breaks the movie into 4 or 5 different files. I convert each file for my ipod and it works, but I end up with several twenty minute clips. Is there a way to convert all files at once to create a continuous movie? Thanks for the help!

Easier to simply not split them than to try to recombine them when you're done. If you're using DVD Decrypter, go to the TOOLS > SETTINGS menu. Then, depending on what mode you're ripping in, set FILE or ISO mode file splitting to NONE. This will mandate the need for an NTFS file system... so if you're using Windows 98 or something dated, you may be out of luck. That's why file splitting exists in the first place.

Yes, I'm using DVD Decrypter and it was set to split by file. I changed it, and now I get a read error when trying to rip the DVD. I'm running Windows XP. Any other advice you could give me? Thanks again!

Sorry. It should work. Works for me with both XP and 2000... both NTFS file systems.
