Affected Software:
Videora iPod Converter
Videora Apple TV Converter

Release Notes:
If you have a multi processor or dual core machine, you’ll be happy to know we’ve added a “Threads” option to the encoding profiles. It can be changed by going to Edit Profile > Video > Advanced 1. By setting this to a value greater than one, you can increase your conversion speed by performing parallel encoding on the multiple processors/cores on your machine. Since we have added a new option to the profiles, you cannot simply import your old profiles.

The rest of the fixes in this version pertain to the Videora Apple TV Converter. Based on what scant information we have on the type of 720p files that the Apple TV will supposedly play, we have developed a profile that should work. However, its quite possible that it won’t so we recommend waiting till the Apple TV is released before you start those very long HDTV encodings. We will hold of adding more profiles until we’re sure they will work on the Apple TV.

Upgrade Notes:
There is no upgrade available so you will have to download the full installer. The full installer will overwrite your old version so you will loose all your old settings and profiles unless you back these up first. As mentioned above, we’ve added more options to the profiles so your old profiles are useless anyways as they cannot be imported.

do you have windows vista? I have the same problem but my workaround is to manually add file from username\appdata\local\virtualstore\program files\red kawa\video converter\videos\ipod\h264 where "username" is the username of the computer. I had to learn the hard way. Heh, I'm still learning.

I enabled multi-threading (I have a dual core). However, it isn't working.

I should be more specific - When I encode a video, the ffmpeg process still maxes out at 50% of system resources, and there isn't a second thread in my process list. I've tried setting the threads to 4 as well, still not really 4 threads. Not even 2, when it's set to 2.

So perhaps I'm misunderstanding this multi-thread implementation.

Would the multi-threading only take place if I'm encoding more than 1 video at a time? In other words, is it multi-threading in the sense that it will start working on 2 (or more) videos simultaneously. However, if you're only encoding one, it cannot "split" the job into two threads?

Hope that makes sense.
