Error -2002: a bad public movie atom was found in the movie.

I'm getting this error when trying to open many of the movies that I've converted with PS3 Video 9. These are XVID AVI files that play fine on my PC prior to conversion. I'm using the MPEG-4 AVC 768kbps conversion format.

Anyone else getting these errors?

Yes I have, It happens when you play the video's in quicktime. they work on VLC but from my experience they don't work on the PS3 (the whole point) It also seems the the encode goes fine from looking at the log file. One of the things that tweeks me is that I was converting videos and everything was fine, and now all the stuff I do is broken. I wish I knew what was wrong with them so I could fix it.

I had this problem too. I noticed the file was an unusual resolution so I changed the resolution preset to 624x352. Every conversion since has worked ok and it doesn't seem to affect the amount of time it takes to process.
