Ok so please bear with me here , I have just received my ps3 and have a dell 610 wireless laptop , can I link to my laptop ?

If so is there a guide or tutorial as I tried but no luck !

You can link to the extent of Media Centers capabilities. Meaning you will be allowed to copy approved files from PC to PS3 but not to a more liberal extent like My network Places in Windows XP allows you to pass files back and forth.

To expand on what cozdiver said, it also depends on what you want to try and do with the connection.

Currently the only thing you can do with the MCX is transfer/share files as long as the PS3is capable of reading/understanding the data trying to be shared. But from what cozdiver said in other threads, to get as much compatibility for readable formats you should update to 1.60(unless you're waiting for the ISO Loader from PDX...but don't hold your breath lol).
