Hi,
The first conversion I did of a xvid file worked flawlessly, file placed in iTunes, plays back on QuickTime with no codecs other than that installed by default on a Mac. (Apple TVs for Aussie still on plane, arriving next week) subsequent ones haven't worked. The conversion process seemed to be going fine with a file be created in the Converted Video directory. Then a dialog pops with an error without much detail saying look at the trouble shooting section of help, iTunes has been started, but the converted file has been removed. Is their anyway to turn on logging or debugging? I'm competent technically and can assist if you like.
Regards,
Chris
Same issue here - first file I converted worked fine, though it couldn't add it to the ITunes library and threw an error. Turned off the "add to ITunes library" and fired up 2 more file conversions; appeared to start off ok and I left it to it only to come back eventually and find nothing - no errors but no converted files either.
Have it converting a file again. It's creating a file in the expected sub-directory but we'll see if it completes it.

I'll have a better look at this later.

Failed to add file to iTunes Library

Have it converting a file again. It's creating a file in the expected sub-directory but we'll see if it completes it.Sat here and watched it as it completed the file - threw the error message about not being able to add the file to the ITunes library and then promptly deleted the file - there in the sub-directory one minute, gone the next ....
p.s. Looking at the console, the same problem as reported by Chris above - "Cannot open destination file", tries to run 'AddToItunes.exe, get the copyright message then says 'Failed to add file...", DELETE ....
p.p.s. I'm running Vista .. so this is, of course, probably a Vista security problem....

yep also running Vista - I tried running the app as Admin user, but same deal. For the moment I've renamed the AddToITunes exe so the converted file hangs around and am adding in manually.
Next to try is XP compatibility mode I guess

Set NicMP4Box + AddToItunes to run as administrator - got that horrible don't trust message (nothing wrong with it coming up the first time of course, just would like to assure Vista it's fine now ...) for NicMP4Box, that created the mp4 fine, but now things just hang. Adding the mp4 manually.
More fiddling required me thinks.

I also ran the program as Admin user (figuring it was probably a Vista problem) and that worked - at least once. It's running some more conversions now, so we'll see what happens ....
Update: It worked ok on both files. Running the program (RKVideoConverter.exe) as admin appears to fix the problem.
