still having trouble

i have launched media center x and but when i type my ip in the ps3 is searches for a sec then says no results found i have triple checked the address with no joy
any help?
I am on a wireless connection by the way and my ps3 is sat right next to the access point.
does it have anything todo with the position in my house of the pc and ps3? my pc and ps3 are quite far apart but my pc picks up the wireless connection fine so should that matter?
When i put my ps3 next to the ps3 it say page cannot be displayed instead of no results found but it does load the ps3 home page o.k.
so far after several attempts i have had no connection whatsoever please help

Have you tried entering the IP address without using "www"? If the PS3 can carry out normal web browsing functions it should be able to view your pc files (providing you have File Server or Media Center X running).

Try using:

http://your ipaddresshere:8129

Don't forget to leave out "www" before your ip address but make sure you include " :8129 " after it.
