quick question, need help please

Is it possible to use media x to transfer data to the ps3 via a direct connection, as in pc cable modem to ps3 via eithernet cable?

The problem i have is that i dont own a wirerless router, so its not possible for me to stream the data via that.

I have connected my ps3 directly to my cable model to download demos etc with no problems.

Can anyone help me out?

You don't need a wireless router to transfer data. A standard router will work just fine, that's what I use. You should be able to get one for about $25 from any electronics store.

The only other option is to transfer the data via Memory Card or USB Flash Drive.

Well i own a cable modem thats connected to my pc via usb, and i connect the ps3 via a eithernet cable from the modem.

So this is fine to transfer files using media x?

I know about using memory cards to transfer data, but im talking about transfering 720p movies that are around 7-8gb.

In order to transfer any data from WMX and the PS3 the PC running WMX has to be connected to the internet, as well as the PS3. So if you really want to use WMX you must get a router or similar device to share your internet connection.
