This release in meant for PSP users with firmware version 3.30 ONLY. If you have not updated your PSP after March 28, 2007, you do not have firmware 3.30 and this beta version will be USELESS to you. If you have an older firmware version, please continue to use PSP Video 9 version 1.94. You can download PSP Video 9 version 1.94 here (http://www.pspvideo9.com/Download/).

This is a very EARLY beta of the next version of PSP Video 9. It is so early we haven’t even added or tested profiles for the existing codecs and settings that have worked on the PSP prior to firmware 3.30. This version has only a handful of profiles, to convert to 480x272 and 720x480.

Some parts of the GUI have changed so don’t expect it to look completely like the old version of PSP Video 9. To get to the familiar convert video section, hit the “Convert” button in the top menu and then click on the “Current Conversions” tab.

Once your video is converted, you must manually copy it (and the jpg thumbnail) from your computer (by default it will be in your C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\My Documents\Converted Videos\PSP\MPEG4-AVC directory for XP) to your PSP memory stick. You must place the video (and the jpg) in the root “Video” Folder (X:\VIDEO) for it to show up in the PSP XMB.

------

2.15 Changelog:
Added: PSP Thumbnail Creation
Added: Proper PAR for 480x272 PSP videos
Added: More AutoResize PSP Resolutions

Release Notes:
Image thumbnails are now created along with converted videos. Make sure to copy over the JPG file as well to the VIDEO directory to make them show up. We have also determined what was causing 16:9 video to appear all squished initially. We have fixed this so now 16:9 videos will look fine in 480x272 by default.

Upgrade Notes:
There is no upgrade available so you will have to download the full installer. The full installer will overwrite your old version so you will loose all your old settings and profiles. If you would like to keep your old settings and profiles, back them up before installing the latest version.

The "Progress" meter in the Current Conversion window in v2.15 does not reflect the actual conversion that is really going on. Watching the "Conversion Statistics" area of the window, will give you a better idea where the program is at in converting the video file. ;)

Wow is all i can say. I haven't tested out more stuff yet as I'm still doing PS3 stuff but I just loaded it up and used the first profile and played on my PSP. Wow on 480x272.

I'll eventually try to play around with it to get the file size down. a ~30min anime episode was like 150mb roughly but sheesh the quality was awsome. On 1.74 i was getting files to like 90mb with good quality and little bit of pixelation.

Wow is all i can say lol.

There seems to be a lot of artifacts in the videos that I convert that are supposed to be crystal clear.
