I'm glad the development of PSP Video 9 has started again! :)
If people want to test 480x272 video, here is a RSS feed (http://www.reant.net/psp/rss/canal_rss.xml) that has one in it.

I'm glad the development of PSP Video 9 has started again! :)
If people want to test 480x272 video, here is a direct link to a MP4 video (http://reantg.free.fr/tcd/4ba6/psp/MAQ10003.MP4), & a RSS feed (http://reantg.free.fr/psp/rss/canal_rss.xml) that has one in it.
The video you linked to didn't work for me. I copy it into /MP_ROOT/101ANV01 but just see "Unsupported data" when I go to play it. I have firmware 3.30, and am yet to convert any video ok with PSPVideo9 2.15.

Tried as recommended in other post: AVC, level 2.1, fps=25, main profile, but still no luck. Must be some setting I'm missing? If anyone has something that works, please post!

I had the same problem as you.
Just create the "VIDEO" directory in the root of your memory-stick and move your video file inside. Your 480x272 video will perfectly works fine ! ;-)

The only problem I have : I couldn't see thumbnails of my file.
My file is named MAQ10001.MP4 and I have added the file MAQ10001.THM
But nothing happends... Somebody knows why ?

Yup... the new thumbnails just use a JPG extension instead of THM. Otherwise they seem to be the same thing as a THM, just a 160x120 JPEG file.

I have tried with all my 5 video converters to get 480x272 on my psp and all failed.

Until, I tried with this new version 2.15 of PSP Video 9 and it works wonder. The 480x272 is just gorgeous.

Salute to you guys !!!! :) :) :)

480x272 only works in \video folder in root of MS.
name it whatever you want (no more M4v10004 convetion yay), the thumb jpg must have the same name, 120x160.
there is a catch... a m3u file (it's text) inside must be the name of the video + extension.
also the name of the m3u playlist gives the name of that folder (not the actual name of the folder)
use main profile

example:

in \video make anothe folder named myvideo >> \video\myvideo
inside must be myvideo.mp4, myvideo.jpg, myvideo.m3u
inside m3u file must be myvideo.mp4 and all the others videos you put in that folder

the name of the folder is given by the name of the m3u file (myvideo.m3u)
you can name the folder \myvideo any other way (\justvideo) it will apear on psp the same name as the m3u file (myvideo.m3u)

happy conversion

Cheers kriss and sholine - that \video folder was the key. Playing fine now.

Works perfectly on some files for me, have a look at this RSS feed: http://www.reant.net/psp/rss/canal_rss.xml
The first video file, Superflat Monogram (http://stage6.divx.com/members/63372/videos/1607), encoded in 480x272, works perfectly.
I have problems with other files, I'll have to tweak them with AVISynth. :-S

Hi. Am a noob and have just started downloaded the 2.17 version. It looks like I managed to convert a video file into the correct format for my PSP, but how do I play it on my PSP? When I go to videos on the menu of the PSP it says there are no videos available...

I've tried creating the MP_ROOT folder and dragging and dropping the file manually, I've re-fromatted my memory stick, I've created a folder called VIDEO in the root menu of the memory stick and tried dragging and dropping manually into there as well, but still no videos appear when I am using my PSP.

Please can someone let me know if there is something that I appear to be doing wrong

Thanks
