Just downloaded and installed this new version of PSP Video 9. Very nice, but I don't see a option to 'select' the PSP as a device to copy my converted movie files to, like the older versions. Tried coping the movies myself but they don't show. How can I get the movies to play on the PSP?

Anyone? Please? I'm ussed to using PSP Video 9 but I don't understand why it does'nt detect my PSP this time around. I saw another posting that said a VIDEO directory had to be made, but even when I tried that, nothing. Help a newbie out. :)

According to the announcement for all of the PSP Video 9 2.x releases so far, the functionality for copying videos to your PSP isn't yet in place. It's been made pretty clear that this is, at best, beta software at the moment. You'll have to do it manually. When you plug your PSP into your computer with the USB cable, it should show up automatically as just another disk drive. Copying most videos encoded with this software into a folder named "VIDEO" on your PSP should work.

Allright, I understand it's beta software and I have to copy it manualy. But where do I make this VIDEO folder at? As I've said, I tried making it in the root directory of the memory stick, but it does'nt show on the PSP. And if I put it into the old directory (that older PSP Video 9 versions use), the movie is reported as damaged and unplayable. What do I have to do once I convert something to get it to play?

I don't know. Heh. If you created a folder named VIDEO at the top-most level of your memory stick, and then placed the encoded video inside that folder, it ought to simply work. It's just that simple. There's nothing special you have to do. The announcement page for the 2.15 release of PSP Video 9 also has explicit directions on how to copy the videos to your PSP. I realize I may not sound helpful here, but I really can't think of anything else to suggest. If you find folder and file operations complex, you may just want to wait until Red Kawa announces that the copying functionality is in place.

It may also be worth noting, since you mention it, that videos designed to work with the newest firmware (3.30) at the resolutions of 480x272, 352x480, and 720x480 will not work in the old video locations under MP_ROOT. They will only work inside of the VIDEO folder.
