View Full Version : Wont even encode
I used to use 1.71 under XP SP2 for ages with no problems. Now I have Vista and PSP Video 2.17 and I can't even convert a simple video. I clicked on "one-click convert", chose an AVI which had worked previously but that's it. It sits in the queue doing nothing, and it reads "No Active Conversion" above the progress bar all the time.
I've also noticed that the feature that automatically detects the PSP has gone, so I don't even know if I've set that up correctly either!!
Am I missing something simple here? Please help!

I think a few have already confirmed that it doesn't 100% work with vista, I don't know if they're working on that or not. =/

i had the exact same issue. click the one-click convert, and it does nothing.
i discovered the reason after installing 1.74 where the console actually worked.
it was because i was running other cygwin services on my machine (init fires up a few services for me).
to run psp video 9, i simply shutdown all cygwin applications running (for me that was with "cygrunsrv --stop init")
when there were no apps using the current version of cygwin1.dll, the encoding started correctly straight after choosing my vob file.

I have this same problem, but I have XP, what should I do with XP?

I'm having the same issue and there are no obvious cygwin apps running according to my task manager. Gonna check and make sure a reboot doesn't make a difference also.

a reboot did the trick even though the installer doesn't tell you you need to btw I am on XP 32 bit
