When I download and install PSP Video 9 it writes over my Ipod Videora Converter. Is this a normal function or a bug? I know I can use either to convert videos for both the PSP and Ipod, but I like having the two programs separate (plus they are on different versions ex: Ipod v2.11/PSP v2.17). I have an Ipod folder for all my Ipod programs and another folder for all my PSP programs. Having it separate makes it easier for me to find what I am looking for is all.
When I update the PSP Video 9 the Ipod Converter becomes a link for the PSP Video 9, but says that my Ipod Converter needs to updated...then when I update that, the PSP Video 9 becomes a link for the Ipod Converter and therefore (if I'm not mistaken) the PSP Video 9 becomes the wrong program for the 3.30 firmware. Is there any way I can keep these two program separate? Thanks for the help in advance. I hope I didn't confuse anyone. I hope this turns out to be a bug with a quick fix, as I like keeping them separate like I've been doing previously along with the Tivo converter I use. Anyway, thanks again for the help.

During the install process, try creating and installing to a different directory. This will keep the individual settings intact for each program.

i thought it already did that by default. should i just tell it to download directly to the individual folder rather than to the desktop? thanks for helping me out.

it remembers the last directory that was used.

I have one going to a PSP folder and another going to my PS3 folder. You just have o put it in a directory, even if you typed it in for the first install. The second install will remember it.

thanks guys, it worked fine for me although I don't like that the video converter's contents were dumped into the my (self made) ipod programs folder...all I wanted was the ipod convert icon, but I'll take what I can get, and now both the PSP and Ipod icons are linked to the correct programs, so I am happy. Thanks again and if you have any more clues for me, let me know. maybe I did something wrong is why I have the converter contents in my ipod program folder. either way, I thank you guys for the excellent assistance. have a good weekend.
