Default Can a memory stick be repaired - 08-17-2007, 09:09 AM

Is it possible to run a scan disk on a memory stick to repairs any bad sectors.
I have a 4gb Sony Memory stick which comes up with corrupted files.
I was wondering if there is a program which can repair.
Regards Assad

Do you know for sure it is the memory card that is going bad? Have you tried your file on another memory stick? As for a repair method, I don't know of any. usually if a flash media goes bad, it goes bad hard. At least in my validation experience. I have tools that can make flash media go bad in less than 5 minutes lol.

Use AlltoAVI with XVID encoder for your video to convert to AVI then use Red Kawa's PSP or PS3 video converter to finally convert your video to your console.

PS3 Video 9 (default)
AVC 480p 1024kbps Stereo/128kbps
AVC 720p 3072kbps Stereo/160kbps
AVC 1024p 4096kbps Stereo 160kbps

PSP Video 9 (default)
Fw3.30+AVC 480x272 768kbps Stereo/128kbps
Fw3.30+AVC 640x480 768kbps Stereo/128kbps
Fw3.30+AVC 720x480 768kbps Stereo/128kbps

IT IS A PROVEN FACT THAT IF YOU USE COUNTERFEIT MEMORY STICKS LIKE THE ONES I PURCHASED ON ebay, YOU WILL GET 1 WORKING VIDEO BUT ALL OTHERS WILL BE CORRUPTED. I THEN SWITCHED TO GENUINE SONY MEMORY STICKS AND I HAVEN'T HAD ANY PROBLEMS SINCE.
